Gas Chromatography -GC/MS

Gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC/MS) is an instrumental technique that is used to separate, identify and quantify individual chemical compounds including those in complex mixtures and solutions. Samples to be analyzed by GC/MS must be sufficiently volatile and thermally stable. Identification of unknowns is accomplished by matching MS spectra to that of the Wiley reference library.

Chemical Spot Test

This technique is used to qualitatively identify various chemical elements and compounds.  These methods utilize a variety of classical analytical techniques. Advantages include low cost and quick turn around times.

Quantitative Chemical Analysis

Quantitative chemical analysis is performed utilizing either analytical wet chemistry techniques or suitable instrumentation (XRF, GC/MS, HPLC, UV/Vis, FTIR) to determine concentration of desired substances.
