Taber Abrader Wear Test- The Taber Abrader is used to perform accelerated wear testing on a wide spectrum of materials. Specimens are mounted to a rotating turntable and subjected to the wearing action of two abrasive wheels, which are applied at a specific pressure. The rub-wear action is produced by contact of the test sample, turning on a vertical axis, against the sliding rotation of two abrading wheels.

RCA Abrader Wear Test -This test measures the durability of coatings and graphics.  It is a highly accelerated abrasion test that simulates wear under conditions of normal handling, use, and cleaning.  Requirements for decorative components can be established and verified per customer's specifications.

Paint Approval Tests - Raw paints and coatings as well as finished products are tested for appearance, function and durability.  Tests include color and gloss measurements, durability (mar, scratch, adhesion, chemical resistance, and wear testing), aging (UV exposure, heat, humidity, cold) plus chemical identification of the coatings and substrates.  Consultation is available for coating selection and application methods as well as process troubleshooting.
