The Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway connects more than ten mainline railways, including Baotou-Xi’an Railway, Lanzhou-Lianyungang Railway, Jiaozuo-Liuzhou Railway, Beijing-Guangzhou Railway, and Beijing-Kowloon Railway, with a total length of 1813.5 kilometers. It traverses seven provinces and regions, namely Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Shanxi, Henan, Hubei, Hunan, and Jiangxi. It is the world’s longest heavy-duty railway built and put into operation at one time and serves as the longest strategic coal transportation corridor from northern coalfields to the southern China. As of December 14, the Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway has transported 60.6259 million tons of thermal coal this year, a year-on-year increase of 9.58%.
Jingbiandong Railway Station is the largest district station among the freight consolidation stations of the Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway. To ensure the more efficient and rapid operation of the Haolebaoji-Ji’an Railway, CR-Xi’an has intensified efforts to upgrade the technical equipment of the railway. A cargo loading status video monitoring system has been installed at Jingbiandong Railway Station, increasing the transportation efficiency of freight trains passing through the station by over 40%.
