On December 22, the construction of the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge achieved a breakthrough with the closure of the Tianxingzhou Special Navigation Channel Bridge on the side of Taixing City, Jiangsu Province. This navigation channel bridge, spanning 388 meters in its navigation bridge, is a dual-use steel truss arch bridge for both road and rail.

The Changtai Yangtze River Bridge integrates high speed highways, intercity railways, and ordinary roads into a comprehensive river crossing, connecting the cities of Changzhou and Taizhou in Jiangsu. To meet the special navigation channel needs of ports and terminals along the route, the bridge includes dedicated navigation channel bridges at Tianxingzhou in Taixing and Lu’anzhou in Changzhou, in addition to the main navigation bridge with a main span of 1208 meters. Together, these bridges will serve the golden waterway of the Yangtze River.

Upon completion, the Changtai Yangtze River Bridge will significantly enhance the regional road network layout, contributing to the integrated development of the Yangtze River Delta.
